Different Types of Writers

Anyone could be a writer if they wanted to, maybe not be a professional writer but write as a hobby. There’s always going to be a difference between the two, of course but if you wanted to be a writer you definitely could! There are many styles and ways of writing to use when writing is used just as a hobby. One of them is what you’re reading right now, that’s right this blog! Blogging are one of the many ways to use for writing while another one is through texting. Although many could say texting wouldn’t be considered as a form of writing but if you think of it this way; whenever you text your friends while telling them a story you give them the beginning, climax and end of the story right? It may not be written professionally but it could still be considered as a form of writing.

I used to also not think texting could make someone a writer but by sending friends/family/etc. Texts about a story you have it is basically becoming the author/writer of that specific story. Being a writer doesn’t technically mean you have to publish a book or anything many people write for fun! it’s also a way many people cope with stress or use writing as a way to let out feelings they don’t know how to tell people in person. Writing is a a beautiful thing because it really does help a lot of people to cope with things going on in their life. Writing can also be enjoyable for people with creative and big imaginations who are great with words and descriptions.

I have a few examples in addition to using texting as a form of writing.

These are text messages from me and my friends, these are rants I tell my friends and when I tell them something that’s bothering me I have to give them the context of the situation. Just like in a story you have to have a beginning, climax, ending(could be the problem getting solved or just the end of the story). It is basically typing away mini stories. I have repeated this multiple times but I’ll say it again being a writer does not have to be professional. Writing could be a way to express emotions, talk about your own feelings, vent to something or someone, etc. The only important thing is if you consider yourself a writer and you’re having fun writing! 🙂

Blog #5

  1. Not finding proper resources – I have been having a hard time trying to find actual facts of scientific evidence to put in my paper. The sources I go through are confusing and not straight to the point, it’s always the article(or any type of source) says there has been proven scientific facts of vaccines not getting linked to autism but it doesn’t take me to where they found that evidence.
  2. My topic – At first I thought my topic was pretty interesting and it really is but it’s just a recent and broad topic. There are still many people who believe this conspiracy even up till now, it’s hard to convince stubborn people who don’t like to listen to facts.
  3. I don’t like writing research papers – Even before I have always disliked writing research papers, I think it’s such a long and frustrating process. I just want to find my source write down the evidence and get it over with but it’s so hard when the sources are all over the place and you have to find it yourself. Sometimes you don’t even find any articles or evidence to give for you topic so you have to change it midway. It is very frustrating.

Vaccines Linked to Autism

There has been many research study and facts that vaccines are NOT linked or connected somehow as the cause of Autism however many people still continue to believe this theory. I chose this topic because this is an interesting topic with many facts provided to prove anti-vaxxers wrong. This is currently still a hot controversy nowadays since it’s a recent topic, the amount of people who believe this conspiracy is pretty surprising.

Unicorn Dating App!

For this advertisement we created a dating app! since our audience are single moms we wanted an app that could entertain them. Our app’s purpose is to become an environment for single mom’s who want to give love a second chance, just because it failed once doesn’t mean you should give up. The main idea is that in the app many people join the app and post their great qualities that are almost unrealistic(just like a unicorn) this way mom’s could find the match they want. Our app isn’t solely based on finding the man you dream of but it could also be if you are finding the woman of your dreams. It is 2020 people are more open minded with many things and that includes sexuality. Love is love, and who knows? if your marriage failed because it was with a man when your heart really desired women in the first place. We chose to create this app for entertainment purposes and also to help become cupid for many single mothers. I personally feel that our choice of advertising this app was very successful, not only was it entertaining but it was open minded with many things too!

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
